What is insulation? The so-called thermal insulation material generally refers to the material whose thermal coefficient is less than or equal to 0.12. 1. PVC foam plastics

The static water absorption at room temperature is very low. The advantages of rigid PVC foam plastics are low thermal conductivity, low water absorption, high compression, and high durability. The disadvantages of rigid PVC foam are high prices.

What are the applications of polyurethane in cold storage? There are two kinds of polyurethane applications in cold storage: Polyurethane field painting and polyurethane sandwich insulation board. First of all, polyurethane spraying: Polyurethane spraying is mainly used for layered spraying of on-site heat preservation, the effect can be achieved is closed without joints, and the heat preservation effect is better. However, the use of spray coating requires a damp proof layer and protective layer, the damp proof layer is made of polymer waterproof coating, and the protective layer is maintained in the form of civil engineering or metal plate.

There is also a polyurethane sandwich panel, which is a light high, fast installation, and shorter construction cycle compared with polyurethane spraying. There is no need to make a protective layer, and the appearance of the polyurethane sandwich panel is higher.

2. Polystyrene foam (EPS)

The base material of polystyrene is mainly resin, supplemented by foaming agent (scientific name is butane or pentane), which is heated by water vapor to form a small foaming ball with numerous tiny bubbles, which is cooked under normal temperature and pressure. This process is called pre foaming. The cooked foam balls are placed in the mold to heat them so that they can be fused together to form a rigid foam plastic with a tiny closed-cell structure.

The characteristics of foam plastics are: lightweight, good heat insulation, low-temperature resistance, acid and alkali resistance, and some elastic products can be cut. The practical application in recent years shows that the use of polystyrene foam in cold storage is easy to absorb water and affects the heat insulation effect. Therefore, moisture-proof and waterproof treatment should be done well when using.

3. Extruded polystyrene foam (XPS)

The extruded PVC has a dense surface layer and a closed-cell structure inner layer. Under the same thickness: the thermal conductivity is lower than that of polystyrene, and the thermal insulation is better. In addition, extruded polystyrene has good moisture resistance and can keep excellent heat insulation in a humid environment.
